New Features!

DynamicAccounting.net is fast approaching it's first anniversary. The site continues to evolve, sometimes slower than I'd like, but everything that has gone into site has been consistent with our mantra, All Dynamics GP, All the Time.

Today, I get to announce some new Features!

First, the new Dynamic Sherpa series of videocasts are a reality. I've held off on a full announcement until I could get a couple done and make sure that everything worked. I'm happy enough with the results to say they are ready to go.

What's a Dynamic Sherpa videowhachamajiggy? Simple. It's training videos for Dynamics GP. They are a maximum of 5 minutes long and cover one very narrow topic. The idea is that some questions come up on an infrequent basis. Since you can't remember what you did 2 months ago, you wander down the hall and ask the guru. Don't bother the guru, watch a short video. Face it, it'll take you 5 minutes to get past the guru's scowl and longer to find it in the manual or on customersource. I've called them Dynamic Sherpa videos because we get to help with the heavy lifting of managing GP. That and the Yak is fun. Accounting doesn't have enough fun!

I'm hoping to release a new video every two weeks, building to one a week. You can subscribe to just the videos and have them delivered to iTunes or any other program that supports RSS like Bloglines or Newsgator. The first two cover AP Voids (I ALWAYS get the same questions here) and the new Client Update feature in GP 9.0. There is an iTunes format and a Windows Media format. If you have restricted bandwidth, the Windows Media format is always smaller

Secondly, there have been a number of additions to the downloads section with more coming in the next several weeks. A number of Integration Manager scripts and SQL scripts have been added as well so make sure to register and check out the downloads.

Speaking of registering, DynamicAccounting.net now has registered users on 6 of the 7 continents! If GP is in use in Antarctica, I pity the poor souls who had to implement it! If you're registered, please accept my humble thank you for registering. If you're not registered, now is the time to join the movement.

Finally, in the fall, I'm going to be adding The Unauthorized Dynamics GP Podcast. This will be a monthly podcast with interviews of people around Dynamics GP landscape, customers, resellers and hopefully some Microsofties.
