MSDynamicsWorld caught up with a bunch of us GP MVP's at the end of a long day. The results of our slightly disjointed ramblings are up at Microsoft Dynamics GP MVPs Reflect On the Convergence 2013 Experience
For me, the bottom line is that it was a really good Convergence and I think we are starting to see some breakthroughs on the data side, name dashboards, data access, etc. This isn't as hard as you think.

Convergence 2013 Predictions. How did MSDynamicsWorld do?
Checkout their article to see how MSDynamicsWorld did with their Convergence 2013 predictions. On the PowerPivot prediction, it seems that those conversations have moved to back channels. I've heard a lot about partners bending Microsoft's ear and comments coming down to to MS excutives.
Convergence Day 2 from Mariano
Mariano Gomez shows off Day 2 from Convergence 2013. Mariano and I got to show off dueling new features in Dynamics GP 2013. Make sure to check out the pictures.
Project Accounting at Convergence 2013
At I.B.I.S., our own Abby Moore and Sandra Dodge tackled a Deep Dive into Project Accounting for GP. Belinda seemed to like what they did.
My Convergence 2013 Thoughts
We had a great Convergence. I got to play in the GP general session with Mariano. You should be able to watch the whole thing online at Virtual Convergence. All of my presentations are available on the site on the right side. If you're looking for something, download the presentation.
The 50 Tips sessions were really well received. More people saw 50 Tips this year than any previous year. For the first session they had to turn people away because the room was too full. Comments and evaluations have been fantastic too. I was worried that the 50 Tips presentations was losing it's appeal but that doesn't seem to be the case.
The Cookbook sold out sometime Wednesday morning and interest was high for the new dashboard book as well. Speaking of dashboards, my dashboard sessions with Jared Hall of Microsoft went really well too. The first version of that session had people turned away due to a lack of space. The repeat was completely fully too but everyone got in. We're getting great evaluations on top of everything else.
As of right now, all 4 50 Tips and Dashboard sessions (original and repeats) are in the top 10 of all Convergence sessions, not just GP sessions, and they are only ones in the top 10 with more than 100 evaluations each. Yes, I'm bragging a little, but only because I worked my behind off to make them good.
Beat Bucher and I tried out a new session for new users of GP. We got good responses and evaluations but it still needs some tweaking.
What about that "Sex, Lies and Refreshable Excel Reports" thing? It was the highest rated user group session. I'm thinking that it could also be the next book. We'll see.
There are some racy pictures going around of me signing men's hairy torsos. They are real. It was scary.
Thank you to everyone who came to my sessions, who filled out an evaluation and who helped out along the way. I met lots of great people.
Next year Convergence is back in Atlanta so I.B.I.S. can play host again.

Microsoft Convergence Keynote brief
Belinda Allen has a Microsoft Convergence Keynote brief. I had the opportunity to present in the GP general session with Mariano Gomez so we've both done more tweeting than blogging. You can follow what's going on at Convergence with the #Conv13 hashtag on Twitter.
Convergence Update from Tuesday
#Conv13 - Convergence 2013 really got rolling yesterday. Mariano and I did dueling features from Dynamics GP 2013 in the GP general session and we've gotten great comments about the segment.
Yesterday also kicked off another round of 50 Tips in 50 Minutes for Dynamics GP. The room was so full that we had to turn people away. The crowd was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who attended. I get to do it again today and I can't wait.
The energy at Convergence is fantastic this year. Folks seem excited and ready to move to GP 2013. Sessions get serious today and I've got to deliver 3 of them so this should be fun.

Convergence 2013 Monday
It's Monday at Convergence and I'm blogging from a Surface RT machine that they've loaned me for the week. My Sex, Lies and Refreshable Excel reports session went great with lots of good questions.
My audit session with +Andy Snook was completely full. Now its book signing time.

Your Chance to Make GP Better - Inside Microsoft Dynamics GP - Site Home - MSDN Blogs
Great sessions, terrible name. In Your Chance to Make GP Better Pam reminds us that there will be Microsoft Conduit sessions at Convergence 2013. What's a "Conduit" session? Exactly. In short it's a chance for you to talk with MS about the topic of the session. They are always informative. I just had the name "Conduit". I think too many people miss these sessions because of the name.
