Soon you're going to see a lot of launch events around SQL Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Server 2008. Well, VS2008 is available now, Windows Server 2008 is due any day and SQL Server 2008 is...delayed until Q3.
But that won't slow the launch events and with everything I've seen SQL Server 2008 looks to have a lot of nice goodies in it. But let's face it, most of you aren't experts with SQL Server 2005 yet. Many of you are still running 2000. If you wait until Q3, you can be a whopping 8 years behind.
Actually that says a lot about how good SQL Server 2000 really was.
