For those of you not taking the early adopters plunge into SQL Server 2008, your workhorse SQL engine, SQL Server 2005, is getting a new service pack for Christmas. SP3 for SQL Server 2005 is now available.
The new version number in SQL once updates will be 9.00.4035. I know, I know, you can't wait to spend your precious holiday days off playing with this new service pack, but since you are so dedicated, let me suggest that you play with all the cool stuff in SQL Server 2008 instead!
