On one of my favorite sites recently, Wendii of Manager Tools looks at tackling administrative tasks with small bites and high frequency. How does this apply to Dynamics GP? It’s exactly the same advice that I give clients for things like Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Asset processes and account balancing.
It’s much easier to balance a bank account daily, process fixed assets to the GL when they are created and do a quick balance of subledgers to the GL daily. Problems are found quickly, month end work is significantly reduced and delegating tasks is simpler because the size of the task is smaller day to day.
Quit making mountains out of mole hills. Catch up those big administrative routines and start working through them daily.
