Don't ignore Help | About Microsoft Dynamics GP when you start working in GP. This is more than just the version number. Included in About are all major version numbers (GP, Dexterity, Smartlists, SQL, etc). You can check these against the version data on the DynamicAccounting.net homepage to make sure you're up to date.
Also included is the database size for company you're logged in to. This can be very important if your SQL server or backup device is short on space. This is actually harder to find than you think in SQL.
The Options button shows all the products and modules you're registered for. This is very helpful when you can't remember if you bought that module and just aren't using it of if you put off the purchase until the next budget cycle. If you bought it, it has a checkbox next to the item.
